אנו שמחים להביע את תודתנו העמוקה למרכז קהילתי יחידה בהנהגתו של אבנר חי. בעזרתם זכינו פעם נוספת לחזות ביוזמה בעלת משמעות, שמטרתה להעצים נשים מבוגרות בקהילה שלנו אשר לא ניתנה להן מעולם ההזדמנות ללמוד קרוא וכתוב. מיזם חשוב זה מקנה להן מיומנויות אוריינות באמצעות פעילויות חינוכיות תומכות ומעשירות.
בנוסף, אנו גאים לשתף בפתיחתו של מיזם נוסף, שזירת פרחים, הפתוח לנשים בכל הגילים. במסגרת תוכנית זו לומדות המשתתפות את אומנות יצירת הפרחים הדקורטיביים, תוך שילוב של יצירתיות עם רוח קהילתית.
אנו מוקירים את פועלה הבלתי נלאה של קהילת יחידה בארגון פרויקטים אלה, ומביעים ברכותינו והערכתנו העמוקה למילי מטה על מסירותה ונאמנותה לקהילת בני מנשה.
Community Update
We are delighted to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mercaz Kehilati Yekhida under the leadership of Avner Khai. Through their support, we have once again witnessed a meaningful initiative dedicated to uplifting elderly women in our community who have never had the opportunity to learn how to read and write. This special project empowers them with literacy skills through engaging and supportive activities.
In addition, we are proud to share the launch of another initiative, Sajirat Perachim, open to women of all ages. In this program, participants learn the art of creating decorative flowers, combining creativity with community spirit.We warmly applaud the tireless efforts of Kehilat Yekhidati for organizing these projects, and we extend our blessings and deep appreciation to Mili Mate for her dedication and devotion to the Bnei Menashe community.
טקס חלוקת תעודות – הכנה לכיתה א'
ביום חמישי, ה־31 ביולי 2025, קיימה קהילת שבטי מנשה בשדרות טקס מרגש ומשמעותי לציון סיום תכנית "הכנה לכיתה א'" עבור ילדינו היקרים. במהלך הטקס חולקו תעודות לילדים שהפגינו התמדה, רצינות והצלחה בלימודיהם, על ידי מחנכת הכיתה, המורה נטליה גרונוב.
אירוע מיוחד זה היה לא רק חגיגה של התקדמות הילדים, אלא גם הזדמנות עבורנו, כקהילה, להביע את תודתנו והערכתנו הכנה לאנשים המסורים שעמדו מאחורי ההישג החשוב הזה.אנו מביעים את תודתנו העמוקה להמורה נטליה גרונוב, על חום ליבה, מקצועיותה, והשקעתה הבלתי נלאית בליווי הילדים והכוונתם לאורך הדרך. מסירותה לטפח את הפוטנציאל של כל ילד ניכרת בלימודיהם השמחים ובהכנתם המוצלחת לכיתה א'.כמו כן, אנו מודים מקרב לב למרים סינגסיט ולאלישבע סיטלוו, שליוו את המורה נטליה לאורך התכנית באחריות ובאהבה. נוכחותן והתמיכה שהעניקו היוו תרומה משמעותית ליצירת סביבה לימודית חיובית ומעשירה.
הוקרה מיוחדת ניתנת למרים סינגסיט, הנמצאת בתהליך לימודים לקראת השלמת תואר ראשון בחינוך. השקעתה בלימודים האקדמיים ובבניית עתיד טוב יותר לקהילה מהווה מקור השראה לכולנו.
כמו כן, אנו מוקירים את אלישבע סיטלוו, השוקדת בימים אלו על לימודיה לקראת אחות מוסמכת בחירתה במקצוע טיפולי כה חשוב מבטאת רוח של נתינה, חמלה וערכים עמוקים.כקהילה, אנו גאים בנשים אלו – מחנכת, מסייעות ואנשי מקצוע לעתיד – המשקיעות בדור הבא ומהוות דוגמה ומודל להשראה לכולנו.בהזדמנות זו, אנו מבקשים להביע את תודתנו הכנה לאגף הקליטה שדרות על התמיכה המתמשכת והעידוד שהם מעניקים לקהילתנו. פועלם מסייע רבות לקליטה מוצלחת, לצמיחה ולשגשוג של בני קהילתנו במדינת ישראל.
Distribution of Certificates – Hakhana LeKitah Alef
On the 31st of July, 2025, the Shivtei Menashe community in Sderot held a joyful and meaningful event to mark the completion of the Hakhana LeKitah Alef (Preparation for First Grade) program for our young children. During the ceremony, children who had shown dedication and success in their learning were proudly awarded certificates by their teacher, Morah Natalie Gronov. This special occasion was not only a celebration of the children’s growth, but also an opportunity for us as a community to express our heartfelt gratitude to the devoted individuals who made this achievement possible.
We extend our deepest appreciation to Morah Natalie Gronov, whose warmth, professionalism, and tireless effort have guided and uplifted the children throughout their early educational journey. Her commitment to nurturing each child’s potential is evident in their joyful learning and readiness for Kitah Alef.
We also wish to thank Miriam Singsit and Elisheva Sitlhou, who faithfully assisted Morah Natalie during the program. Their presence and support were instrumental in creating a positive and enriching learning environment.A special note of recognition goes to Miriam Singsit, who is currently in the process of completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Her dedication to academic advancement and to the future of our community is deeply inspiring.Likewise, we recognize Elisheva Sitlhou, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing (B.A. in Nursing). Her commitment to the healing profession reflects her compassionate spirit and strong values.
As a community, we are proud of these women—teachers, mentors, and future professionals—who are investing in the next generation and setting an example for us all.
We also take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Agaf HaKlita (Absorption Department) for their continued support and encouragement. Their efforts play a vital role in helping our community integrate, grow, and thrive in Israeli society.

ביקור קהילת בני מנשה בספארי רמת גן – יום של חוויה בלתי נשכחת!
ביום שלישי, ה־29 ביולי 2025, זכתה קהילת בני מנשה להזדמנות נוספת ומהנה – כאשר המתנ״ס בעיר שדרות העמיד לרשות הקהילה שני אוטובוסים לביקור בספארי ברמת גן. היה זה יום מרגש במיוחד, בו נהנו המשפחות והילדים מפעילות חווייתית ומעשירה כאחד.
הילדים הביטו בהתרגשות באריות, פילים, זברות ועוד חיות בר רבות מקרוב – רבים מהם ראו חיות כאלה לראשונה בחייהם. זו הייתה הזדמנות ללמידה, לגיבוש ולשמחה משותפת לכל הקהילה.
אנו רוצים להודות מקרב לב למתנ״ס שדרות על התמיכה המתמשכת והנתינה לקהילת בני מנשה. ההשקעה בקהילה מורגשת ומוערכת עד מאוד.

Bnei Menashe Community Visit to Ramat Gan Safari – A Day to Remember!
On July 29, 2025, the Bnei Menashe community was once again graciously provided with two buses by the Sderot Matnas (Community Center) to visit the Ramat Gan Safari. This special outing brought great joy to families and children alike, many of whom experienced the thrill of seeing wild animals up close for the very first time.
The day was filled with excitement and wonder as the children eagerly observed lions, elephants, zebras, and many other animals in their natural habitats. The visit offered not only fun but also a meaningful educational experience for all participants.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Sderot Matnas for their continued support and generosity. Your dedication to enriching the lives of the Bnei Menashe community is deeply appreciated.
A special thank-you also goes to Mr. Enosh Lhouvum, coordinator for the Bnei Menashe in the Agaf HaKlita (Absorption Department) in Sderot, for his tireless efforts in organizing and supporting this wonderful initiative. Your commitment and care mean so much to the community.
פעילות קיץ בטוח
ביום שני, כ״ב בתמוז תשפ״ה (28.07.2025), זכתה קהילת בני מנשה לארגן פעילות קיץ בטוח בסיוע נדיב של מתנ״ס שדרות.
אנו מבקשים להביע את תודתנו והערכתנו לשקד מהמתנ״ס שדרות על הסיוע, התמיכה והמסירות, וכן למיכאלה, שהעבירה לילדים הדרכה חשובה בנושא זהירות בדרכים.
נושא הזהירות בדרכים הוא בעל חשיבות עליונה, במיוחד בימות הקיץ. ידע והקפדה על כללי בטיחות בדרכים מסייעים לילדים שלנו לשמור על עצמם ולנוע בביטחון בסביבתם.
ברצוננו להודות גם לאגף הקליטה ולרכזת האגף, שרה לונגדים על תרומתם המשמעותית ורצונם הטוב לקידום שילוב הקהילה ורווחתה.
אנו מודים לכל הגורמים השותפים שתרמו להצלחת הפעילות ולשמירה על שלומם וביטחונם של ילדינו.
Safe Summer Activities
On July 28, 2025, the Bnei Menashe community had the privilege of organizing a successful Pe'iluyot Kaitz Batuach (Safe Summer Activities) program with the generous support of the Matnas (Community Center) in Sderot.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Shaked from the Matnas Sderot for her dedicated support and coordination, and to Michaela, who taught the children essential principles of road safety (Zehirut BaDerechim). The importance of road safety education (zehirut badrakhim) cannot be overstated. It equips our children with the knowledge and awareness to navigate their environment responsibly and safely, especially during the active summer months.
We also wish to express our sincere thanks to the Absorption Department (Agaf HaKlita) and its dedicated coordinator, Sarah Lhungdim, for their ongoing commitment to the welfare and integration of our community.
Together, these efforts have contributed meaningfully to the enrichment and safety of our children, and we are deeply grateful for the partnership and support.

ועד בני מנשה ערך פגישה עם גורמים שונים בעיריית שדרות.
ביום ראשון, 27 ביולי 2025, קיימה מועצת בני מנשה (הוועד הקהילתי), בראשות הרב דוד לונגדים (יו"ר) ואנוש לובום (מזכיר), פגישה חשובה עם נציגים ממחלקות שונות של עיריית שדרות.בין המשתתפים: ספארי מקהילת "יחידתי", מרסל וטליה ממחלקת הרווחה, יואל – עובד סוציאלי המתמחה בשיקום התמכרויות, ורועי – מטפל ממרכז מניעה. את מחלקת הקליטה ייצגה הגב' רינה גרינברג, מנהלת האגף. מטעם קהילת בני מנשה השתתפה גם שרה לונגדים.
הפגישה התכבדה בנוכחותה של סגנית ראש עיריית שדרות, הגב' חוה נקשונוב, אשר דברי העידוד והתמיכה שלה התקבלו בהוקרה רבה.
מטרת הפגישה המרכזית הייתה חיזוק רווחתה והשתלבותה של קהילת בני מנשה בשדרות. הדיון התמקד בבניית ערוצי תקשורת ושיתופי פעולה עמוקים יותר בין הקהילה למחלקות העירוניות, במטרה לקדם הבנה הדדית ושילוב חברתי ותרבותי מלא.
בנוסף, הועלו האתגרים העומדים בפני קהילת בני מנשה ועולים חדשים בכלל, ובהם התמודדות עם קשיים חברתיים כמו התמכרות, אלכוהוליזם, אפליה, ואתגרים במערכת החינוך.
ועד בני מנשה מבקש להודות מקרב לב לכל המחלקות והגורמים העירוניים שלקחו חלק בפגישה. מחויבותם, שיתוף הפעולה והרצון להקשיב ולהיות שותפים לדרך הם מרכיב חיוני בקידום רווחת הקהילה ובהצלחת שילובה בחברה ובתרבות של העיר שדרות.
The Bnei Menashe Va’ad held a meeting with several departments of the municipality.
On July 27, 2025, the Va’ad (Community Council) of the Bnei Menashe community, led by Chairman Rabbi David Lhungdim and Secretary Enosh Lhouvum, held an important meeting with representatives from various departments of the Sderot Municipality.Participants included Safare from Kehilat Yekhidati; Marsel and Tali from the Department of Social Services (Ravakha); Yoel, a social worker specializing in addiction rehabilitation; and Roe, a caregiver from the Mercaz Meniyah (Prevention Center). The Department of Absorption (Agaf HaKlita) was represented by Director Rina Greenberg. Sarah Lhungdim also attended on behalf of the Bnei Menashe community.
The meeting was honored by the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Sderot, Ms. Chava Nakshonov, whose encouraging words and participation were deeply appreciated by all in attendance.The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen the well-being and integration of the Bnei Menashe community in Sderot. Discussions focused on building closer cooperation and communication channels between the community and municipal departments, with an emphasis on promoting mutual understanding and inclusion.
A significant portion of the meeting addressed the various challenges faced by the Bnei Menashe and other new immigrant communities. Key issues discussed included tackling social hardships such as addiction, alcoholism, and discrimination, as well as addressing difficulties encountered in educational institutions.

אנו שמחים לשתף את קהילתנו בחדשות מרגשות ומחממות לב. השבוע, 97 משפחות מבני מנשה בשדרות קיבלו מקררים כתרומה מארגון פתחון לב. המתנה החשובה הזו העניקה שמחה ותמיכה רבה למשפחותינו, ואנו מלאי תודה על מעשה החסד המשמעותי הזה.
ברצוננו להודות מקרב לב לאדוארד עוזר ראש העיר אלון דוידי, על מנהיגותו המרשימה והתמיכה הבלתי מתפשרת שלו. לפני מספר
חודשים, אדוארד עדכן את יו"ר ועד קהילת בני מנשה כי 17 משפחות צפויות לקבל סיוע דרך ראש העיר אלון דוידי, אך בזכות מסירותו ומאמציו, הוא פעל להרחבת התמיכה לכ-90 משפחות, ובסופו של דבר 97 משפחות מבני מנשה קיבלו השבוע את התרומה.
תודה והוקרה מיוחדת גם ליחידת קהילתי שדרות על שיתוף הפעולה הפורה, ובמיוחד ל-מילי מטה, רכזת בני מנשה ביחידת קהילתי שדרות, על פעילותה המסורה והמקצועית לאורך כל הדרך.

Newsletter Update: A Heartfelt Thank You to Pithchon Lev and Our Partners
We are delighted to share some heartwarming news with our community. This week, 97 Bnei Menashe families in Sderot received generous gift packages fridges from the Pithchon Lev organization. These gifts brought immense joy and support to our families, and we are deeply grateful for this meaningful act of kindness.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Edward Assistant Mayor Rosh Ha’ir Sderot Alon Davidi, for his outstanding leadership and unwavering support. Originally, a few months ago Edward informed the chairman of bnei menashe community committee that 17 families would be receiving assistance through Mayor Alon Davidi but thanks to his dedication and efforts, he pushed to extend this support to over 90 families, making it possible for 97 families to receive gifts this week.
We also want to express our appreciation to the Yekhidat Kehilati Sderot for their partnership, and especially to our devoted representative Mili Khaute, Bnei Menashe Coordinator at Yekhidat Kehilati Sderot.
This beautiful collaboration is a testament to the power of community and solidarity. May we continue to support one another with love and unity.

יום שכולו תורה בשדרות: קהילת בני מנשה מארחת יום לימוד מעורר השראה
לפני מספר שנים קיימה קהילת בני מנשה בשדרות יום שכולו תורה מרגש ומרומם, שהוקדש במיוחד עבור אברכי ובחורי ישיבה מבני מנשה. באירוע השתתפו בהתלהבות לומדי תורה מכל רחבי הארץ, לצד בני הקהילה המקומית.
מראה עינינו היה מרגש במיוחד – לראות עשרות אברכים ובחורי ישיבה מבני מנשה, חדורי מסירות לתורה, מתכנסים יחד ביום של אחדות, חיזוק והתעלות רוחנית. האווירה במשך כל היום הייתה מלאה קדושה, שמחה ואהבת תורה.

אנו שמחים לבשר כי בעזרת ה' אנו מתכוונים לקיים גם השנה יום שכולו תורה נוסף, להמשיך ולהעצים את אור התורה בקרב אברכי ובחורי הישיבה מבני מנשה בשדרות ובארץ כולה.
A Day of Torah in Sderot: Bnei Menashe Hosts Inspiring Yom Shekulo Torah
A few years ago, the Bnei Menashe community in Sderot held a powerful and uplifting Yom Shekulo Torah, dedicated especially for Bnei Menashe avrekhim and bakhurei yeshiva. The event drew heartfelt participation from community members, alongside enthusiastic Torah learners from around the country.
It was a truly moving sight to witness dozens of Bnei Menashe avrekhim and yeshiva students—dedicated to Torah study—gathered together in unity and strength. Their commitment and energy radiated throughout the day, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of kedushah and inspiration.
We were deeply honored by the presence of several distinguished rabbinic figures, including:

Throughout the day, shiurim and divrei Torah were shared with passion and depth. Tefillot were recited with kavanah, and bonds of achdut were strengthened among the participants. It was a day that reminded us all of the spiritual potential and growing Torah strength within the Bnei Menashe community.
With great excitement, we look forward to organizing another Yom Shekulo Torah this year, b’ezrat Hashem, to continue nurturing the light of Torah among Bnei Menashe avrekhim and yeshiva students in Sderot and beyond.
יום של שמחה ואחדות בפארק מים

ביום שלישי, ה-9 ביולי 2025, זכתה קהילת בני מנשה בשדרות, יחד עם משפחות מקהילות נוספות בעיר, ליום מהנה ומרומם בפארק מים. האירוע התקיים בחסות עיריית שדרות והמתנ"ס המקומי.
היום המיוחד הזה העניק רגעים של רוגע, הנאה וקירבה, במיוחד עבור הנשים והילדים, שזכו לחוויה נעימה ומחזקת בטבע. האחדות והשמחה המשותפת בין המשתתפים היו מרגשות ומשמעותיות.
אנו מביעים את תודתנו העמוקה לראש עיריית שדרות, שבזכות מאמציו ודאגתו התקיים האירוע הזה. יהי רצון שיזכה לשנים של הצלחה, ברכה ופרי עמלו.
A Day of Joy and Unity at Park Maim

On Tuesday, July 9th, 2025, members of the Bnei Menashe community in Sderot, together with families from other local communities, were privileged to enjoy a beautiful and uplifting outing to Park Maim. The event was made possible through the generous support of the Sderot Municipality and the local Matnas.
This special day provided a much-needed opportunity for relaxation and enjoyment, especially for the women and children, who merited a peaceful and joyous experience in nature. The sense of unity and shared happiness among the diverse participants was truly heartwarming.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor of Sderot Alon Davidi, whose efforts and care made this event possible. May he be blessed with strength, success, and a fruitful life in the years to come.
Tour to Agronan Katif in Gadera
Over the past two weeks on 11.06.25, the Bnei Menashe community in Sderot had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a special tour of Agronan Katif, an agricultural site where a variety of fruits—such as berries, strawberries, and more—are lovingly grown. Participants were invited to walk among the fields, pluck fresh fruits straight from the plants, and savor them on the spot.
This beautiful experience was made possible by the Agaf HaKlita in Sderot (a local branch of the Ministry of Absorption), which organized the event especially for women and children of the Bnei Menashe community. The outing brought great joy, allowing participants not only to taste the sweet fruits of the land but also to enjoy a day of relaxation, nature, and bonding.
The Bnei Menashe community extends its deepest gratitude to Agaf HaKlita – Sderot for their ongoing support, care, and meaningful efforts to enrich the lives of new immigrants. Your dedication helps families feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the Land of Israel.
We offer our special thanks to Era Buber for her personal dedication, enthusiasm, and tireless work in bringing this tour program to fruition. Her involvement made a true difference in the lives of many.

סיור לאגרונן קטיף בגדרה
בשבועיים האחרונים ב- 11.06.25 זכתה קהילת בני מנשה בשדרות לביקור מיוחד ומרומם נפש באגרונן קטיף – אתר חקלאי שבו מגדלים באהבה פירות שונים, כגון פטל, תות שדה ועוד. המשתתפים נהנו מסיור חווייתי, שבו יכלו לטייל בין השדות, לקטוף את הפירות ישירות מהשיחים וליהנות מטעמם המתוק במקום.
החוויה הנפלאה הזו התאפשרה בזכות אגף הקליטה בשדרות (סניף מקומי של משרד העלייה והקליטה), שארגן את הביקור במיוחד עבור נשים וילדים מקהילת בני מנשה. הטיול העניק שמחה רבה, חיבור לטבע והפוגה מהשגרה, תוך יצירת חוויות משותפות ומשמעותיות.
קהילת בני מנשה מביעה את תודתה העמוקה לאגף הקליטה בשדרות על התמיכה הרצופה, הדאגה הכנה, והמאמצים המבורכים לשיפור איכות החיים של העולים החדשים. מסירותכם עוזרת למשפחות להרגיש רצויות, מוערכות ומחוברות לארץ ישראל.

קורס אולפן לנשים מבוגרות מבני מנשה
האגף לחינוך מבוגרים יזם פרויקט מיוחד שמטרתו להעצים נשים מבוגרות מבני מנשה, רבות מהן מתקשות להשתלב בחברה עקב שליטה מוגבלת בשפה העברית.האולפן פועל ביום ראשון בין השעות 17:00 עד 20:30, והתכנית זוכה להצלחה רבה הודות למנהלת גילי מוליאן, האחראית על אזור הדרום. גילי פועלת רבות לשילוב והקלת ההשתלבות של האוכלוסייה המבוגרת בקהילות השונות בחברה הישראלית.
אנו מצפים כי הנשים המבוגרות ירכשו שליטה טובה יותר בעברית, ומביעים את תודתנו למורה אורית ושרה להונגדים רכזת בני מנשה שדרות אגף הקליטה במיוחד לגילי מוליאן על תמיכתה בקידום החינוך של בני מנשה בשדרות.

Ulpan Course for Elderly Bnei Menashe Women
The Department of Adult Education has launched a special project aimed at empowering elderly women from the Bnei Menashe community, many of whom face difficulties integrating into society due to limited proficiency in Hebrew.
The Ulpan (Hebrew language class) takes place on Sundays from 17:00 to 20:30 and has seen great success thanks to the leadership of Gili Moulian, who is responsible for the southern region. Gili has been instrumental in promoting the integration and inclusion of the elderly population within various communities in Israeli society.
We hope that the elderly women will gain better command of the Hebrew language, and we express our heartfelt thanks to their teacher Orith and Sarah Lhungdim, the Bnei Menashe Coordinator in Sderot’s Absorption Department, and especially to Gili Moulian for her dedicated support in advancing the education of the Bnei Menashe community in Sderot.

בני מנשה בשדרות מודים לה׳ מקרב לב על הזכות להקים את כולל הערב. לפני חמש שנים יזמה הקהילה את הקמת הכולל באופן עצמאי, אך נתקלה בקשיים כלכליים רבים. בהמשך, מספר בעלי בתים החלו ללמוד תורה בערבים לאחר עבודתם, ובכך סללו את הדרך להקמת כולל יום קבוע, שנחנך ביולי 2023. כיום, משתתפים בכולל הערב כ-13 לומדים, והוא מתקיים מיד לאחר תפילת ערבית. הלומדים שוקדים על תלמודם במשך שעה, חלקם מקבלים מלגה מהרב הרצל שאובי, חבר מועצת העיר שדרות, ואחרים זוכים לתמיכה מקרן הקהילה.
הרב הרצל הבטיח כי בעוד מספר חודשים יספק מלגות גם ליתר הלומדים. אנו מודים לו ולבנו, הרב אבשלום שאובי, אשר מסייעים בעקביות לאברכי הכולל בשעת הצורך.
חסדם אינו מוגבל רק לבני מנשה, אלא כולל את כלל האברכים בעיר שדרות; לפני כל חגים, הם מחלקים חבילות עם מוצרים חיוניים לחג.

Kollel Erev (Evening Kollel)
The Bnei Menashe in Sderot are profoundly grateful to the Almighty for endowing the community with the strength to establish the evening Kollel. Five years ago, the community initiated the foundation of the Kollel independently, yet they encountered numerous financial challenges. Subsequently, several Baalei Batim commenced studying Torah in the evenings after their work, thereby facilitating the community's establishment of a full-time Kollel Yom, inaugurated in July 2023.
Today, the community has approximately 13 participants in the evening Kollel, which commences after Arvith (evening prayer). They immerse themselves in their studies for an hour, with some receiving a stipend from Hertzl Saubi, a member of the Sderoth Municipality, and others from the community fund.Hertzl stated that he will provide stipends to the remainder in a few months. We express our gratitude to him and his son, Avshalom Saubi, who consistently assist our Avrekhim in times of need.
Their Chesed extends not only to Bnei Menashe but also to all Avrekhim in our city of Sderot; prior to each major festival, they distribute a parcel containing essential materials for the celebrations.We wish them a lengthy and prosperous life, enabling them to significantly benefit the community, particularly the residents of Sderot.

קהילת בני מנשה בשדרות קבלו שלושה אוטובוסים לתוכנית סיור במהלך חול המועד פסח, בתיאום עם משרד העלייה והקליטה ומשרד ההתיישבות. במהלך הסיור התפללו המשתתפים בכותל המערבי ולאחר מכן ביקרו בשוק מחנה יהודה בירושלים.
אנו מביעים את הערכתנו לאגף הקהילות ומאחלים להם עתיד פורח להמשך העשייה הפילנתרופית למען הקהילות השונות.

We are once again pleased to express our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption and the Ministry of Settlement for providing the Bnei Menashe the opportunity to explore the land of Israel.
The Sderot Bnei Menashe community procured three buses for a tour program during the intermediate festival of Pesach (Chol Ha Moed) through the Ministry of Absorption and Settlement, during which they prayed at the Western Wall (Kotel) and subsequently visited the Machaneh Yehudah market in Jerusalem.
We extend our appreciation to Agaf Hakehilot and wish them a flourishing future to continue their philanthropic endeavors in support of various communities.The community acquired three tour guides: Kheftzi, Yosef, and one Meir. We express our appreciation for their assistance to our community.

Tokhnith Maale
The Bnei Menashe community of Sderot was relocated to various locations in Israel following the atrocity committed by the terrorist group Hamas on October 7, 2023. The community has since returned to their cherished city, and today in Sderot, we can once again hear the vibrant sounds of elders and children.
Once again, to enhance the morale of our youth, a Tokhnith Maale was organized by Misrad Aliyah ve Klitah in collaboration with the Shivtei Menashe organization. The program aims to provide opportunities for young individuals to secure a promising future, elevate their morale, and instill self-confidence in their daily lives.
We express our gratitude to Nurith, the overseer of Tokhnith Maaleh; Shimon Luba, the coordinator for young boys; and Elior, the coordinator for young girls.
The youths were taken to various locations to enhance their enjoyment and discover significance in their lives, including activities such as horseback riding, bowling, football, and climbing.

As Israel is a startup nation, technological advancements occur rapidly. Consequently, a significant challenge is digital literacy. To address this, the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption with collaboration with Amutat Makhshava Tova extended their support to the Bnei Menashe community.
Recognizing that some individuals struggle to learn in Hebrew, Amutat Makhshava Tova under Shaked with Agaf Haklita has appointed Daniel Mate, a member of the Bnei Menashe community with extensive expertise in digital technology, as their instructor. We wish all participants in this initiative a successful journey. This project was proposed by our Coordinator, Enosh Lhouvum.
We extend our profound gratitude to Rina Greenberg, Manager of Agaf Haklita Sderot, Victor Ibramov, who oversees Agaf HaKlita Sderot, and Shaked from Amutat Makhshava Tova for actualizing this project.

Preparing Bnei Menashe children for grade one: The Community of Bnei Menashe wishes to express their gratitude to the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption for their generous support of our community. The project for children registering for first grade has enabled them to learn reading and writing from their teacher, Natali.
Most parents, who are Olim Khadashim, have benefited from this initiative as they lack the resources to educate their children. We thank Natali for her efforts to enhance the education of the children of Bnei Menashe.
Tokhnith Pele for young girls: We extend our gratitude to Shaked, Coordinator of the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption, for the Tokhnit Pele program, which allows young girls in grades 7-8 to attend the Bnei Menashe gallery museum to study and complete their homework three times a week from 16:30 to 19:00, assisted by their teacher, Avital.
This program brings immense joy to our young girls, who face challenges in completing their school assignments. In addition to academic support, the girls receive meals and learn to bake cookies and cakes. The program is made possible through the efforts of Rina Greenberg, Manager of Agaf Haklita, and coordinator Sarah Lhungdim.

Kehilat Yekhidati Initiatives for Bnei Menashe
Artistic engagement for senior women: The elderly women of Bnei Menashe primarily occupy themselves with delivering their grandchildren to kindergarten and childcare facilities. However, during midday, they often find themselves devoid of social engagement, leading to boredom.
In response, the community, with the assistance of Mili Khaute, the community coordinator for Yekhidat Kehilati, Manager Avner Khai, and social worker Safare Kehilatit Neviim, has successfully implemented a creative arts project for these elderly women.
This initiative provides them with immense joy and the opportunity to learn various creative arts, such as weaving and clay utensil crafting, which greatly benefit them.
We extend our profound gratitude to Avner Khai, Manager of Kehilat Yekhidati, and his team for their invaluable time and for providing the Bnei Menashe community's elderly ladies the opportunity to study essential creative skills.

Course Shekhita
One of the basic principles of Jewish people in their day-to-day life is based on Kashrut (the dietary laws), for Kashrut gives the Jewish people to ascend spiritually and physically and it also distinguishes them from the nations of the world. By observing Kashrut the Jewish people add holiness, as it is said: “Be holy for the L-rd your G-d is holy.”
In Sderot, the Shivtei Menashe community merit studying a crash course on Shekhita (slaughtering of certain permitted mammals and birds for food according to Jewish dietary laws), with the help of Agaf Haklita and Misrad Haklita. The credit goes to Enosh Lhouvum, Projector of Bnei Menashe from Agaf HaKlita, and Vaad Kehilat Bnei Menashe member in Sderot. Enosh's untiring help and determination to uplift the community brought the community to learn the course. Over the years there has been a demand for Shokhtim (Shokhtim is plural of Shokhet, which means a person who performs Shekhita, a ritual slaughterer) in the community, but the community lacks to meet such demand. We hope that with his determination we soon have a Shokhtim in the community.
For the first time, the Bnei Menashe in Israel will take this Kashrut course in Hebrew and Kuki language (their common mother tongue), and will undergo oral examinations for elders in the Kuki language. This course is offered with the help of Machon Keter Halakha under the supervision of the renowned Tzadik Harav Shelomo Makhfud, Shlita. The course will hold classes every Tuesday in the Bnei Menashe Community synagogue “Alfei Menashe” in Natan Elbaz 23.
The course does include a comprehensive section on Ofoth (birds), Behemoth (animal, such as sheep, goat, cow, etc.), and Nikkur, the process of removing khelev (forbidden fats) and the gid hanasheh (sciatic nerve). Until now, there are 14 Baalei Batim and Avrekhim who enrolled in the course. The Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption will grant a concession (a reduction of 70 %) of course fees.

The world is full of amazing things, especially when one learns the arts of painting, one discovers the inner depth and mystery of the magical world.
In Sderot, we witness such events, in late November 2021.
With the help of the municipality of Sderot, Mayor of Sderot city Alon Davidi, Deputy Mayor of Sderot Khava Nakhshonov and Renata Shlomo, Manager of Agaf haKlita (department of Aliyah and absorption), the children of Bnei Menashe were able to learn the art of painting. One interesting fact was about their teacher, Khanokh Lhungdim, who himself is from the Bnei Menashe community. His talent gave many children the will to learn the art of painting, and of course were dreaming one day to draw portraits of their family pictures.
We hope we will again reorganize vocational painting class for the children of Bnei Menashe in Sderot.
The children after their day of school came to learn about the painting where the Bnei Menashe gallery museum was located in Brith Arim 16. They enjoyed their learning and also received refreshments from Agaf haKlita in Sderot. We very much appreciate our projector Sarah Lhungdim who took her extra time to take care of the children and buy them refreshments from the budget of Klita when they learned painting.
The art classes offer opportunities for art lovers who wish to explore their own creativity, acquire tools and express themselves in the language of art. The classes enable participants to realize their abilities to the fullest and the connection to their inner world.

The Shivtei MenasheOrganization with help from various departments of Municipality in Sderot, such as Agaf HaKlita (branch of Absorption Ministry), Merkaz Tzairim (Center for Youth), and Khinukh (Education) organized personal empowerment and development program for the future of youngster. The inspirational program is designed to broaden the horizons of the youth and give them access to opportunities to build a bright future.
The high school girls were taken to AMDOCS Company by Sarah Lhungdim, Projector of Bnei Menashe Sderot (Agaf HaKlita), Maayan bar Yokhai from the Educational Department, and Bithya from the Youth center department. The Honorable Chairman Mrs. Khofit speaks with the youth and encourages them to pursue higher education so that they can get the opportunity to enter AMDOCS Company. Her speech enlightens the spirit of the youth to pursue their dream, and the students departed captivated with a higher spirit.

The girls also went to meet the Deputy Mayor of Sderot Khava Nakhshonov at her office. They were escorted by Sarah Lhungdim and Renata Shlomov, Manager of the branch of the Absorption ministry in Sderot. There they heard how to have ambitions for the future by setting the right goals and steps to achieve the aspirations from the Deputy Mayor. She expresses her willingness to help them to achieve their ambition and shares her experiences of many difficulties and obstacles she encountered as a new immigrant. She also encourages them that the youth need to change history and that they should not work as their parents as mere laborers. She further said that they too were in the same boat as the Bnei Menashe community, but with higher education and higher ambitions today they change their history.
Indeed the Bnei Menashe community needs to change its history. They will achieve this through the youth of the generation. The career advice is typically aimed at getting students and youngsters equipped with the practical skills and knowledge for what happens next in their future. All of this can help individuals to become more confident as they seek to open more potential career paths.
